Topaz Class - 'You Can’t Test This' Day

At Harbinger School we believe that a broad and varied curriculum inspires children and allows each child to shine. We are concerned that the current system of primary assessment may result in a narrowing of the curriculum. This is why we are joining other schools in Tower Hamlets and across the UK in taking part in ‘You Can’t Test This’ day to show that there is value to all of the learning that isn’t currently recognised by the system of primary assessment.

Topaz class invited parents in to join in with their maths lesson about using money. They also had the chance to show parents the hand puppets they have been working hard on and made some beautiful art work using wax-resistant magic painting!

Ayana - I was doing maths with my mummy using paper coins, and I was playing finger puppet that I made before.

Tishia - This look like the children had a great time !

nadia - Amazing.

Sami - This looks like a lot of fun

Omar Hussain. - Thank you harbinger primary school for inviting us. I enjoyed doing the activities with my daughter. 👍
