This January, Amber class braved the cold weather to visit the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. We attended a Key Stage 1 workshop called 'All aboard the story ship!'
We learnt all about the dark story which inspired ship-owner Jock Willis to name his new ship the Cutty Sark. At the end of the workshop we all made our own figurehead models to take back to school for more storytelling inspiration. Before we had lunch we managed to explore the ship and pretend we were real life sailors!
"Pupils who have special educational needs or disability make good progress in reading, writing and mathematics. This is because pupils are identified effectively and offered the support they need quickly."
