The children learned about where WWII bombs fell on the Isle of Dogs during the Blitz. We visited Mudchute Farm to see an Anti-Aircraft gun and learn about how local people protected themselves during these times. We also paid a visit to the Museum of Docklands to learn more about our local area during the war.
We weighed out items that were rationed during the war. People would have to be very mindful not to be wasteful of food as there was not a lot of it!
"Pupils who have special educational needs or disability make good progress in reading, writing and mathematics. This is because pupils are identified effectively and offered the support they need quickly."
